Greetings all.
It is with great regret and hesitation that I announce my departure from the chatrooms and most likely aryion.com as a whole indefinitely and most likely permanently. A variety of real world factors have forced my hand in this matter. I had every intention of continuing to roleplay in the future, believing that I would be able to juggle my responsibilities and obligations in real life as well as find time to play, but it doesn’t seem to be working out. My time available to be allotted to the chatrooms dwindles by the day, and thus requires that, in lieu of interrupting session after session with a hasty apology and excuse and letting my roleplay partners down, I take my leave.

I must also offer (as stereotypical and true to my character this is) my deepest apologies to those that I’ve perhaps disappointed with this decision, who may, through my absence, lose a friend or find a roleplay in progress now null and void. The decision hasn’t been easy to make, roleplaying having become one of my fondest hobbies. There was so much more I wanted to do, so may ideas for alts I wanted to pursue. However, it remains a necessary course of action.

That being said, I found it prudent and necessary to offer a final grateful and overwhelming thanks to the friends and characters on the rooms who’ve made my experiences and time on here extremely enjoyable. Given that an ordinary human character is usually one of the least sought after partners, the fact that Jonathon was able to initiate and sustain acquaintanceships, and develop as a character in general is a surprising but nevertheless inspiring fact. I can only offer my warmest thanks to those that took the time to get to know him, put up with the constant and most likely vexing depicted anxiety, and generally made this player’s time here fruitful, pleasurable and rewarding. To those that made him and the player gleeful with unbridled enthusiasm, droop with disappointment a moving scenario, fret over their fellow players and characters, and managed to bait the pair out of their shell, I can’t express my gratitude enough.

All those moments will be lost like tears in the rain.

This message may not be seen by many, or indeed, anyone that does care. ‘Jonathon_Warwick’ may just become one of the many abandoned and irrelevant characters that litter the ayrion database and prevent newcomers from choosing their preferred name at character creation. But for those that do care about the coming and going of a normal bland human, you have my lasting gratitude and well wishes for the future.
