Joy is a lovely mink and teacher that the students just love to see. After all, it isn't every day they get to stare at a figure like hers! It is both a blessing and a curse at keeping attention in the classroom. She has to deal with far fewer disruptions and outbursts, but also with vacant, dreamy, drool-mouthed stares from time to time. Still, she's been pretty successful at it, teaching physical science courses and chemistry. She's not interested in moving up to administration, so she gets along with he colleague pretty well, not trying to stab anyone in the back who is trying to move up and over her in favor with the administration. After all, she doesn't actually need the job all that badly, she just likes doing it.

Joy was born into money. Her parents were wealthy entrepreneurs and she was the only child. She received a private education from the very best schools and eventually attended her college of choice. Her trust fund keeps her well supplied with money, but she's certainly never been shy of spending it. She moved away when she turned twenty-one, but her relationship with her parents is not strained; she just wanted to find herself and make a way of things on her own. She used her education degree to get a job teaching and she's been enjoying it ever since.

When she isn't in the classroom, she is often enjoying time alone at her home. She bought a small, two bedroom, single story house and she keeps it looking very nice. It has a small garden in back where she can fiddle away if she likes, though she doesn't really have much of a green thumb. She just enjoys having an excuse to relax outside sometimes. When not at home, she might go clubbing or hit up a singles bar if the mood strikes her, though she's always afraid she is going to run into someone from work there and that could be weird.
