Backstory
Kai's youth was spent working on his parent's farm, milking cows, planting and harvesting crops, tending to the chickens, all that jazz. One of the few sources of entertainment the young snake boy had was the news. The radio (And eventually a television once he earned some money) entertained and amazed the boy, who wanted to see the outside world more and more with every listen. On his fifteenth birthday, Kai left his home to go out and seek his fortune, and through some hard work, he managed to be accepted at a small college in the nearby city. While there and studying to be a reporter, Kai met a young snake woman, and the two hit it off.

Time went on and eventually, the two got married and had a child, a daughter. Kai had just recently graduated his course, and even received a job offer at a local news station. Things were looking better than ever! Sadly, it wasn't meant to last. He and his wife began to realize their relationship wasn't working out, and after a time of trying to make it work, mutually agreed to a divorce. Though he claimed he was completely okay with it, he wasn't. As time went on, Kai began to feel...distant. Lonely. Depressed. It was becoming increasingly clear, that with his wife gone and her having custody of their daughter, he couldn't keep going like this. He's now searching for a new love and is ready to keep trying, no matter how long it takes or how badly things occasionally go.

Personality
Kai is the very definition of a relaxed and friendly guy, and his willingness to help others has gotten him into trouble more times than he would care to admit. Though usually not one to cause conflict, in recent times, he's taken to fighting back when something makes him angry enough. Push his buttons too much and he can be quite verbal about how he's feeling. That said, he is NOT a fighter. The man has never thrown a punch in his life and is liable to hurt his hand if he tried. He is also a little nervous around women who show an interest in him. Having recently gotten off a divorce, he's not sure how to go about dealing with it, but he DOES want to move on. He also loves his daughter more than anything else in the world and is eager to prove how good a father he can be.

Appearance
Svelte/lean human top with a healthy snake half, thoug he wants to put more muscle on his human top half. Shoulder length blonde hair and emerald green eyes. A corn snake pattern along his scales. Wears a pair of thick glasses. Tends to dress in a simple dress shirt at work, and a T-shirt usually depicting some form of cartoon character when off work. Wears a ring on a chain around his neck, his old wedding ring.

Abilities and skills
Ace photographer: Kai can take a good photo like nobody's business, perfect lighting, angles and all.
Farm skills: Due to growing on his parent's farm, Kai knows all about animal upkeep and dealing with plants.
Two stomachs: Being a snake person, Kai has two stomachs. One is far larger than the other and is quite stretchy. He's a little averse to having it bulge out as he finds it a bit embarassing.

Miscellaneous facts: In his spare time, he likes to game, take wildlife photos, read comic books, and spend time with his daughter whenever she's visiting and not with her mom. He's also blind as a bat without his glasses. He's somewhat sensitive about his appearance and wants to put some meat on his human half...He sucks at it though. Kai IS cold blooded, and often becomes sluggish when in a warmer place. The "e" after "Kai" in his name is due to his father mispelling his name on his birth certificate. Though his ex wife was a snake woman, he's attracted to all sorts.

Notes: I'll eat damn near anyone if I like their character, so don't be afraid to ask. Kai is also perfectly nommable. I'm also willing to take liberties for friends so if you know me and have a particular craving or preference you don't see in my own, I might be okay with doing that or experimenting. I'm also down for if you want a snekman to make you feel special and wanted. Kai can be played as either snake man or human, just ask if you'd prefer one or the other.
