Little is known about Kalaurg, what is known is that he was not just simply born. From the way he acts and looks one would guess he is a twisted form, bound together by some kind of dark magic. If one were to delve deep enough into his past, which he himself keeps quiet about unless around others that were made instead of born, they would find he is what is left of a small group meant to serve a dark ruler of lands far away in another realm. The ruler was eventually overthrown by warriors from a land they called the land of light.
After this event all of those that were created in the realm left, seeking new homes and people to serve under. While it appears he has no heart, he in fact does know emotions and does experience them. Though to those he knows not he will give off the sense he knows little to nothing about emotions.
One of Kalaurg's perks to being what he is is the fact he's got two forms of being. The first is the one most see's, a normal nekojin that wears gothic clothing. The second being what he refers to as his shade form. It being the same, just pure black skin, glowing red eyes and skin so cold it freezes even the hottest flame in place. This form is mostly for his defense or for when he's over heated.
If you spoke to Kalaurg, you'd notice first his Italian accent, next the fact that most of his sentences began with Italian words rather than English. This being due to him coming to this dimension in Italy and learning that language for many years before finding out that English was more common.
