Kalliopeia

tl;dr Kalliopeia, or 'Kallie' is the prince of a nondescript kingdom. Far from spoiled, Kalliopeia's upbringing can be described as 'authoritarian' at best and 'needlessly brutal' at worst. Kallie was subjected to torment and pressure of all kinds in an attempt to groom the perfect heir with an unbreakable will, and put through a ruthless education by his Court to ensure that he would have the wit and wherewithal to navigate his way through the halls of power. While one would expect this inhumane treatment to produce a horrible tyrant, Kalliopeia's personal maids and assistants intervened to give the young heir kindness and love whenever they could. As a result, Kalliopeia has a peculiar personality. Though he is kind, gentle and soft-spoken -- the very picture of innocence -- Kalliopeia is, behind his kindly smile and merciful leadership, a conniving, cunning and manipulative person with few scruples. Fortunately for the people around him, the kindness he was shown in his darkest moments has made it so Kalliopeia is truly and sincerely benevolent, acting in what he believes are in the best interests of the people around him. And to his credit, he's almost always right in the end. However, there is very precious little that he will not do to obtain the results he seeks. He will improve the lives of his subjects by any means he deems necessary, short of outright despotism.
