Mission: To slay evil as according to the dictates of Affos, god of love.

Lady Kardia of Rhodes is a well known figure in among the smallfolk of the realms, a kind-hearted knight that gave up the lands and title of her family to travel the breadth of the land in search of problems in need of force to solve. Force that the destitute were unlikely to have themselves. Carrying only her plate mail, collection of weapons, and riding a formidable warhorse, Lady Kardia is often a figure of relief for those under the threat of bandits, rogue soldiers, wandering bands of monsters and so on since she only requires a place to lay her head, a hearty meal, and care for her tools in repayment for her protection. In most towns or villages they are often quite sad when the crusader announces it is time to move on, especially the menfolk, but Kardia refuses to settle in a single region as part of her God given mission from Affos. All deserve to feel safe and loved.

Yes, loved. Affos is the god of love and the root of the word 'affection' in her world and one of the primary tenets of his faith is there are few times that evil cannot be reformed if only shown love by another. Normally this is a mission of reformation for the nuns and priests who have taken up his mantle, working in prisons and uncouth neighborhoods to quell violence, but in Kardia's case as one of the sole crusaders of Affos, the form her affection takes is more..violent. She may need to subdue those knaves she needs to confront before showing them that even they are not beyond the reach of love's warm embrace and to her credit has helped show many a criminal or marauder that there is another way!

Others simply enjoy the physical affection and are cowed by the thought that continued malfeansce will be met with Kardia's return and the decree they are beyond salvation. Either way, she has become a force for good in her travels, acquiring many an adoring follower of her exploits even if many wonder just what she looks like beneath her armor. Her trust plate mail is rarely removed at all but the helmet never in the company of others, leaving many to wonder if Kardia might be some royal personage in disguise, a true beauty, or if there might be more than a single 'Kardia' traveling the world under the same name as part of some selfless sisterhood. No one is quite certain but few have been crass enough to demand such a generous woman do something she is clearly uncomfortable with.
