That was the sound her arrival made. A rather... unusual sound, but considering where she was arriving from, that is perhaps acceptable. Still, who knew that dimensional travel went 'splat'?
Well, she did, but only because she was the one it happened to. And she certainly wasn't expecting it to happen! Still, she's decided she has to make the best of things, and that means doing her best to keep on keeping on, no matter where she is. What you probably want to know, though, is who she is, as well as what she is.
WHAT she is seems obvious, at first. Clearly, she looks human... at least at first glance. A closer look reveals ears that are slender, and elfin, but she, herself, does not have that elfin figure. She's built like a human, except for her ears. Her slenderness, while not that of an elf, is still noteworthy, and most likely due to her being a healthy, athletic teenager. Her skin is a perfectly normal caucasian tone, a little on the light side, and her hair is a perfectly ordinary brown, her eyes a clear, bright blue. You know. Normal. Except for the ears.
But that's the physical side of things. Spiritually, well, she's normal for wherever she came from. She is NOT normal for here, though, and it's painfully obvious the first time she starts talking to someone no one else can see. Rather, talking to someone that no one else can see UNTIL she starts talking to them. And then, well, people see her talking to all SORTS of things. Fae. Dragons. Demons. Various supernatural critters that, yes, we KNOW do not exist.... but as she talks to them, they fade into view for anyone watching, and they tend to STAY in view, at least for a little while. This can be understandably disconcerting, to say the least, but the effect DOES fade... most people manage to delude themselves, or repress their memories. You know, those healthy, human coping mechanisms.
So where does that leave her? Well, stranded, for one, among people who do not see what she sees, and do not know what she knows. It doesn't help that, due to a quirk of her physiology, she is both delicious and edible to just about everything that's roughly her size, or a little smaller. .... it could be worse. Whatever sent her here seems intent on keeping her here, and alive, and well, so it's better than winding up DEAD, but even so, being eaten isn't exactly convenient!
Still. She's here, and there's not a lot she can do about it, so she's TRYING to make the best of it... difficult as it may be. Do PM if interested, but not ICly, please.
