B.N. (Before Nexus):
Kelly Bass was happy with her life. She was a medic for a mercenary group outside of Germany and was happy with her team members, the other eight that is. She had left her family to join the military, but when they did not accept her, she became a mercenary with one of the several local groups. She has yet to have any family of her own, nor plans on it, considering Merc business is very dangerous, too much for a mother. It was science that interested her, the science of the body and how each one was unique in every possible way. But that all changed one fateful day. The day Kelly lost her believe in Science, as it betrayed her.

That Day:
On Monday, November 13, 1893, Kelly's team was assigned by the german government to investigate rumors of disappearances around an abandonded Labratory at the Canfranc Railway Station on the border of France and Spain. Along the journey by train, Kelly and her team were being briefed of the lab and the rumors. The lab itself was supposed to contain the secrets to dark matter, while the disapperances were civilians entering the property and the tunnels under the station, but not returning. The station itself was in direpair, but the tunnels were good quality, so cave ins were least suspected. Once they arrived, Kelly lead her team into the labirynth of tunnels dug out during World War II. What they discovered was odd. No bodies, signs of struggle, no cave collapses... Nothing that could have caused the disappearances. The team decided to split up and search each room again. Kelly was assigned to search the main lab, where the experiments with dark matter were conducted. She searched everywhere in the room, and found a strange device, looking much like a television remote. When she pressed one of the buttons, she was startled as a portal opened behind her, pitch black, but not a black hole. She approached it curiously, having left the remote on the table and reached her hand towards the hole, when It reached out, engulfing her hand in its blackness, and pulling her in. She screamed for help and struggled against the hole, and just as her team was entering the room, she was sucked in, the portal closing as she entered. The team didn't know what caused the portal or where it went, and were silenced by the German government about their findings.

A.A (After Arrival):
Kelly woke up in a forest, her gear still in the same codition as when she left the lab. The lab! She was in a forest, not a lab. She looked around wildly, trying to find the black hole or a building of any kind, only able to see trees for miles around. She still had full clips of ammo in her pistol, and some in her shotgun as well, not to mention plenty of medicine for close to every common illness within her coat. She decided the best course of action was to search the area and get her barrings, hopefully to return home to her team, or learn about this place she arrived at.
