No matter where you look, the universal constant in high school has to be the social pecking order. From the friends you make to the dynamics between different cliques to the hierarchy within those groups, everyone’s got their place on the ladder: from the nerds and the theater kids, the hipsters and the punks, the skaters and the rockers, to finally the athletes, cheerleaders, and popular kids. Age also plays a role, the upperclassmen always have a leg up on their juniors, and if you add in a setting where it’s normal and accepted to dine upon your fellow man, and the high school pecking order turns into an almost literal food chain.

Enter Kelly Matthews. A senior at River North High, she enjoys a very high perch on the social ladder. Being a popular cheerleader carries enough status on its own, but Kelly here happens to be the captain of the squad, top dog among top dogs at her school.

A note about Kelly's gender: About one in every 75 humanoids on Rashorra are natural-born hermaphrodites, and Kelly is one of them. She has fully-functioning sets of both male and female genetalia, but is outwardly female-presenting and uses female pronouns. She's bisexual, but regardless of who she's with, she's almost always the top of the relationship.
