Kisuke was a pretty normal guy, where he was from. A college flunky who went on to own a barcade, and made a half-decent living for himself. Things went pretty well for a while. He survived and got by as best he could. But something as simple as surviving can prove difficult during what people came to call...
The Haunting.
A magical apocalpyse ravaged the land, and the lines between life and death were blurred. A dark fog blankets all that can see, and countless spirits from beyond attack all they see. On this grim day, Kisuke lost his life.
At least, he should have. Another being, from another beyond took pity upon the young man, with body and soul torn asunder. Mending his soul with the tiniest piece of his own, serving as raw, magic power to bind the tatters back together. His body was healed, and in stable condition, though strangely absent were his right arm and left eye. Now, both have been replaced with convincing prosthetics, and Kisuke finds himself all but immune to most forms of damage.

Rumors spread of a mysterious masked figure fighting off the creatures left behind by the Haunting, clashing in spectacular fashion. There's not much known about him, and as a result, has been nicknamed the Enigma. He prefers people drop the 'the', though. He thinks it flows better.
