Shouko has a small problem. Shouko's problem is communication anxiety and cripplingly so, to the point that she can't even use her own vocal cords to speak. If it were not for her extra pair of mouths that are situated on her chest, Shouko would come across as an aloof young woman of mystery.

Shouko's lipples voice her true thoughts and feelings, as embarrassing as that often is but she is very popular despite her abnormal body. As far as Shouko is concerned, she just wants to be normal and communicate with the proper mouth on her face rather than through the ones on her chest. She strives to make 100 friends to help her overcome her anxiety; if they could stop staring at her chest long enough to think about anything else.

Due to her unique...condition, Shouko's breasts are sometimes bared as this is how she communicates regularly. In the event that she is not allowed to bare her chest, she uses written notes to communicate with others. Usually larger public establishments are the ones that don't allow her to but Shouko understands why, her breasts are pretty distracting. The comments that they often make to others are sometimes of an unsavory nature as well.

One thing to note about these lipples is that when they do speak, it is actually Shouko's voice being used. It's almost mocking how her breasts use her own voice against her. The two huge mounds take turns speaking but the content they spew tend to focus around certain things. Once this pattern is observed, it's not hard to predict even if some of the things they will say are only done for shock value. The lipples are just a part of the young woman however, they seem to act as if they have their own consciousness.
