Kōu-ryō isn't an ordinary Pokemon as one can quite tell. Greninja are known for their incredible intellect and powerful bonds to the spiritual world due to their meditation. A humble Greninja in the wild Kōu loved nothing more than to relax by the ancient temple grounds by the lake and meditate, often seeing in wisps and spirits around. Spirits are calmed by the presence of Greninja as they are gentle creatures who are able to communicate with the phantasms. Not all phantoms are so docile though. Kōu had a particular serenity about her, a graceful being with smooth blue and white skin and had the kindness in her personality to be the envy of a deceased Ninja girl, who took it upon herself to ruin the Greninja, one such evening the Phantom pulled Kōu down into the lake to a hidden portal that brought the Pokemon to the underwolrd, there the girl planned to use the Greninja's soul to regenerate herself, it backfired.

After the long intense fight nearly killed the poor Pokemon Kōu turned the tide of battle and latched her tongue around the girl, she pulled her in and swallowed her whole causing the rift to shatter, darkness...Kōu saw nothing for weeks on end as she lay at the bottom of the lake, eventually her eyes opened, she had gone through a long transformation process. Her body was now more humanoid in form, using her powerful legs she kicked up and practically lept from the water, surprising a couple of fishermen who gawked at her body. She would blush only realising now that she had become well endowed and was showing off her sex. She croaked lightly before managing human words "Do you...have any spare clothes?"

Being a rather primitive being at heart she was fine with the rags she was given, later acquiring a makeshift hood, long skirt with the sides slashed allowing her large, frog legs space to move and a long blue silk cloth that she used to hold back her breasts. She also found she was able to transform completely into a human, a form she takes on when wandering through towns so as not to startle the public.

During the night she sits atop the Pagoda's tiled rooftops as a vigilante, watching and waiting to stop any innocents from being harmed, but also to fill her belly. Wherever she goes however if she needs to fight then the sky above will always turn dark blue and you can be sure that Rainfall will soon follow.
