Cairventh is a large grey dragon spanning approximately 110 feet long from the tip of his nose to the end of his tail, and standing 40 feet tall. He has lived for multiple human lifespans, or so he claims. He once delighted in the hunt, toying with humans and other creatures that entered his territory until delivering upon them the most cruel deaths he could think of. That is until that fateful day happened...

Once a terror of the land, Cairventh the Grey was brought to justice by a powerful sorcerer. This wizard saw fit to punish the dragon for his past transgressions by placing upon him a powerful curse. This curse bound him to an orb that he must stay within 100 feet of unless ordered to otherwise. So long as the orb exists, he is forbidden from harming anyone or anything unless ordered to by whoever holds the orb. That's right, any who command that orb commands the dragon! This was his punishment.

Any and all who touch the orb can control Cairventh, forcing him into complete obedience. He himself is forbidden from destroying the orb, no that he would given that if the orb were to be destroyed or even disenchanted somehow, he too would perish. He cannot swallow it or attempt to hide it as a rule of the curse. Anything you can think of to circumvent the curse, he is forbidden from attempting.

So now it comes to you... You have discovered his lair and the orb! Will you enslave Cairventh to do your bidding?
