Palutena is the goddess of light and ruler of Skyworld. Her duty is to watch over mankind and protect them from the cruel and malevolent Medusa, who betrayed Palutena before turning her into a monster and banished into the Underworld. Palutena could not forget that Medusa vows to have her revenge on the goddess using all the creatures of the Underworld she could recruit. One day, there was a storm in Skyworld and Palutena had found a baby angel abandoned at the doorstep of her temple. She named the boy Pit and raised him as if he was her own child. And yet technically, Palutena taught him all there is to know about Medusa and her army of the Underworld.

Though it would've been too soon for Pit to know everything. Just then, Palutena was attacked and imprisoned by Medusa. But Pit took it upon himself to free her. Using their divine power of the Three Sacred Treasures, Pit defeated Medusa and freed Palutena, restoring the celestial balance. She thanked Pit for setting her free and rewards him to be her new captain of her Centurion Army. The two of them formed a strong bond and they did have a couple of crazy incidents, such as Palutena's vegetables running wild in Skyworld. However, despite being an angel with wings, Pit can't fly. So Palutena grants Pit limited the Power of Flight that lasts for five minutes. Any longer and Pit's wings will catch on fire.

In her social life, Palutena does enjoy cooking and her taste for food doesn't seem to go away. She did one time accidentally eat a human who had been shrunk. She didn't notice, but Palutena did seem to like the taste for them. Out of curiosity, Palutena had often wondered if it was something that was added in one of her recipes, until she realized that it was human flesh that she tasted. Unlike other gods, Palutena has a second stomach that does not digest anything. Instead, it's a hot spring filled with refreshing hot spring water that contains healing powers. With that, Palutena would shrink and then eat a person for them to enjoy her hot spring stomach. So far, it's been going well especially for Palutena. From inside her hot spring stomach, its occupants can also see the outside by looking through Palutena's navel.

Then one day, Palutena had met a genie-like fairy, with a rather perverted, but Palutena had been seduced. The fairy had abandoned Palutena after they broke up and she turned him away, never to welcome this intruder to Skyworld ever again. And then, she later discovered something. She became pregnant. After giving birth however, she had left Skyworld with her newborn son Icarus because Zeus feared that the child will overthrow him. So Zeus sends every Olympian god to kill Icarus, no matter how many lives were lost. But Palutena wouldn't allow blood to be spilled on her hands. She jumped into action to stop Zeus, being forced to kill him. With Zeus dead, Icarus can see what the world is like outside of Skyworld and Palutena continued watching over her son.
