Lady_Red

Red like roses. Red like sunset. Red like blood.

Her proper name is Lillia Trayvessen, Duchess of Orven. But many simply refer to her as the Lady Red. She is spoken of in both awe and caution by those who dwell in her lands, not an unkind ruler, but certainly one known for her....appetites.

Her existence is surrounded by myth and rumor, and the further one goes from Orven, the more fantastical those stories become. Some insist that the current Dutchess is merely the most recent in a lineage of identical mothers and daughters, despite most others claiming the simpler explanation of immortality. While tales abound that anyone invited to her Keep is never heard from again, any number of people also claim to have been guests or visitors.

The truth? Lillia is a vampire. An undead revenant with an unquenchable thirst for living blood. While she cares deeply for those under her rule, vitae is necessary for her survival, and so a balance must be achieved. She must rule subtly, gently, and protect those under her care. In turn, when the time comes to be taxed, the payment is perhaps not in coin or harvest. At least, not a harvest of crops....

Standing 5'8", with pale skin and long crimson hair, she's definitely not the most intimidating sight. But her kind generally aren't, until they display their more supernatural talents. Speed. Strength. Shapeshifting. The flipside of that coin are the weaknesses; sunlight, items enchanted with Holy might.

Monster or not, the Lady Red is foremost a noble and politician. Her life certainly isn't without opportunities for amusement, yet her duties come first. She must be a politician and a military leader for the sake of her vassals. She travels when she must, to speak with other nobles, but more often recieves them at home....or uses diplomats to confer using her authority.
