At first glance, one may mistake this soft-spoken effeminate son of Ireland of barely past eighteen for Ash Crimson of King of Fighters' fame. Hell, the two share the same fashion sense, body type, hair style, and even freckles! The two even share the call to battle! But no, Laoch (pronounced 'Lay-ock' or 'Lay-oash', he doesn't mind either interpretation) is a far less infamous soul. Kind, affectionate, and protective of those he cares about, his skill in combat seems to be something unfitting of someone of his lithe frame. In fact, he doesn't even seem to train, and although he's kind and considerate, he can often be rather lazy. He was more or less born with his instinctive ability to fight, allowing him to use his surprising flexibility, moderate strength, and astounding speed to form excellently free-flowing combos. Of course, his speed is his forte, and once immobilized, he puts up less of a fight.

Laoch is also a victim to his passions, and can oftentimes be easily seduced or duped into situations he'd normally not fall victim to if the right lass (or even lad) batted their eyelashes at him. As a hopeless romantic with both the proper equipment and a lovely, full rear, he would see it as a shame for such traits to go to waste. Unfortunately, he's also cursed with a slightly timid nature for initial encounters, meaning he's not as open to jump actively into the vice of the world around him. Though, if pressured, the Irish trap will easily oblige the desires of those that manage to hit his right spots, a pure submissive if there ever was one...

As for what he's doing here, of all places, well, one could say it was a matter of his defensive mechanisms. Laoch grew up in a family of fairly well-off brewers, and was the second-oldest of five siblings, with two other boys and two girls. One day, his youngest sister vanished, and a passerby claimed she was last seen in a nearby forest. The old man also warned him that an ancient creature known for devouring humans whole and alive had taken residence in the woodwork. Even if Laoch believed him, which he didn't, he still felt compelled to go in and find his sister. Well, to make a long story short, things went about as well as expected. He met the creature, some kin of 'snakefolk', whom gobbled him up unceremoniously and allowed him to stew for a while. Whether she had eaten his sister or not, he was uncertain, but he was sure this would be his undoing.

Fortunately, and yet at the same time unfortunately for Laoch, he was restored to life within the Nexus. This gave him hope that either his sister could be found there or that she would be home. However, every time he attempted to contact his home or get transportation to Ireland, something would go horribly awry. So, now his main focus is reuniting with his younger sister before anything else could go wrong, particularly due to the fact that he was uncertain how many times the two could die before they'd ultimately stop coming back...

Another quick note about Laoch is that, despite the Irish stereotype and the fact he grew up in a family that owned a brewery, he can't handle much of a drink. He'll get tipsy rather quickly if forced to consume alcohol, but will refuse any beverages offered to him most of the time... Well... Unless the person offering in question is rather attractive, in which case he may consider it. After all, it's just one drink, right?
