-So, while I've done an article on it, people who've seen me around over the years know that I've retired around 50 characters of my own and helped others retire characters several times. So, this is a thing that can happen with me, and it seems that now is a very good time to clear up a couple things:
-
What is Permavore? It is the choice after a scene that involves the death of a character to retire that character from play, usually recorded on both profiles.
-
On Player Consent: I don't permavore characters that the player wasn't expressly willing to retire. Permavore is
ALWAYS the choice of the
prey, not the predator. If I have retired one of my own characters, it is by my choice. Not anyone else's.
-
On Harassment: I do not tolerate harassment of my RP partners over this. Harassment is harassment. Don't get dramatic with me or my RP partners about our personal choices.
-
Reversing Permavore: Ask, and I will reverse permavore scenes immediately. It's your character.
-
Who is Absolutely Not Available to be Permavored? Samantha_Grey,
Kikin_the_Mawile,
Tyne_the_Tyranitar, "OCs Not Up for Permavore" are about 99% off the list, mostly because their perma simply doesn't arouse me or suit any purpose for me. I would suggest you not bother with them. You're more likely to just annoy me.
-
Who is Available to be Permavored? Fan Characters, OCs in the list that are available. This doesn't mean that I'll throw them up as soon as you ask. I have to want it.
-
Are you ever going to lose all your characters? Not likely. I set three up as sacrosanct to ensure that they fulfilled necessary functions in RP. Plain and simple.
-
Is it safe to establish relationships with your characters, then? The ones that aren't likely to get permavored, sure. Provided I'm ok with it. The others are up to you, but may be here for years (like Trialgatha), or days. Depends on urges.
