Background
Leilatha was born among elves that lived in stone and forest. She was one of the few though that was born with both strong physical power and high magical power. Her people normally only went two ways, physical strong, or magically strong, she was lucky to be both, however she can barely tap into her magical powers, a normal defect of being born with both. Her childhood was pretty normal, trained in magic only up to a basic level, while her training in weapons and combat skills, as well as hunting skills went quite smoothly.
Her teen years were pretty smooth as well, finishing basic training, and education. It was good up to the point where she had to pick a job, which she wasn't sure what to do, though any that need powerful magic users was out since she couldn't tap fully into her's. She had a number of choices that she could pick, thanks to her strong physical body, but the number of jobs still made it hard to pick. She finally picked a few different ones to give them a go, and just to do a few different things, one of which she liked a lot was dancing. A dancer among her people did many different dances for different reason, religion, parties, festivals, and rituals. She did enjoy it, however she felt bit pressured when dancing with other dancer, though this thought was in the back of her mind, it was because she was underdeveloped at the time compared to the others. The pressure feeling vanished after few days when she finally bloomed.
The peaceful times did not last to long, as war between the elves and humans broke out. Leilatha's people paid dearly during the war, losing their home, and most of their people being wiped out leaving only a handful left. Her people were scattered to the winds, making rare for one to even meet with another of her people, a few sought shelter with other elven tribes, while others wondered the land. Her home was one of two elven controlled cities.
Leilatha traveled alone, her plan was to travel to another land, though living on an island that was mostly controlled by humans, who held elves with little respect or just flat out hatted them, made traveling to a coastal town hard, and expensive. She had an easy time traveling through the forest, as she could hunt for her food, but shortly after leaving the forest she'd have less to hunt and more humans to hide from. She found a human that gave elves a place to stay, and work, though such thing was illegal, so the elves had to act as slaves. They worked as servers and dancers, which she didn't being a dancer, though she hoped no one was hunting her kind specifically, as among other elves, she stood out like a sore thumb being much taller than the rest. She didn't mind getting paid as she was in need of money, but she didn't like some of the humans getting touchy, till she touched back which caused her to have to move on. She traveled for a while, but didn't come across any other place or human nice enough to give her a place to stay. She still was able to make money, by either people giving it to her not knowing she was an elf, helping other elves get by, but the prime way she made money was stealing it from humans. She found it hardest to travel through towns, as though hidden under a cloak it wouldn't be hard for one to get too close and tell she was an elf, the last place she wanted to be discovered in was a town or city.
She spent a few years moving from place to place, earning money the way she knew how, sometimes getting lucky to find a place that would hire her and pay her. She did finally make it to a coastal city, filling her with joy, but she still had to make sure she didn't get caught or her long trip would have been for nothing. She had collected a lot of money over her trip, however every smuggler she visited, either wouldn't risk it or asked for more than she had. She was starting to wonder what to do, if she couldn't find someone that would take her across the sea. She finds one that would risk taking her, as they were taking a few others, though she did notice something odd looking about the captain, he looked human enough, but there was something not human about him. She approached the captain before they set sail, asking him why he would risk taking elves across the sea, his answer was surprising as he said he had to help his people, it was then that Leilatha put two and two together. She was surprised that the captain was a half elf, though he looked more human than elven, but it helped him blend in well. The crew was completely human, though they did whatever their captain wanted, and they didn't mind have a good looking female aboard, just couldn't get too close, which one crew member learned this the hard way when Leilatha punched him in the face and broke his nose. The rest of the crew got a good laugh out of it, and learned why not to get too close.
Leilatha was happy, her trip across the sea was a smooth one, nothing really happened which was a nice change of pace for her. When the ship made port on a new land, she was happy to see what was out there, parting ways with the people she got to know on the trip there, she set out now to start a new life for herself.
