In the far off land of Verathea, the Wu family has been a major conglomerate supporting the economic stability of the nation. Though in the past they had typically pulled the strings from the shadows, recently the powerful family has begun working in the open, with Lian-- the only child of the clan not otherwise working-- recently being appointed as ambassador of foreign relations. It is her job now to travel between different countries (and even different worlds) to boost relations between them and her native land.

Lian had little choice but to accept her new position, lest she be tossed out of her family's ranks all together. Though she vastly preferred her easy life of luxury in one of her clan's many large estates, she's coming to find she doesn't really mind traveling and experiencing new places-- especially if it means trying new and often exotic foods! Though Lian is of full belief that her position is as official as can be and that her decisions about befriending nations is actually one to be made, the poor young dragon is actually only going to places that her country has already deemed worthy of an alliance as a test to confirm how far these countries are willing to go to please Verathea...

Poor Lian just thinks that her judgement of these 'nice' people she meets is all that counts. Unfortunately, since Lian is so easily bought and doesn't really understand underhandedness in others, the Wu family and Verathea in general couldn't afford to leave things completely in her hands.

Although Lian is generally very peaceful, she has extensive training in hand-to-hand combat paired with monstrous strength, which makes her more than capable to defend herself if need be. This is the reason why she often does a lot of her expeditions alone.
