Lighter is a pretty damn big Typhlosion. Two heads taller than the average human, which is at least 3 heads taller than the average Typhlosion. Other than the black tips of his ears and the steel chain around his neck, though, the rest of his appearance is fairly standard for his species.

Due to his laid-back and generally calm personality, his neck flare is rarely lit. It is almost always active when he has regressed to his feral personality, which can happen if something triggers his feral instincts, since he was born in the wild. He has no impulse control when feral, does not speak English, and will always walk on all fours.

He is a fire shaman of Clan Blackburn, a fairly modernized tribe who still practice their religion of fire-worship. Unlike others of his tribe, as a shaman, he must live as a hermit in cave, only visiting the commune during ceremonies. Members of his clan will visit him for guidance, advice, or training in the art of fire magic.
Despite the mysticism of his clan and his role in it, his dwelling is more than modestly furnished, complete with plumbing, electricity, and even an internet connection. He spends most of his time reading books, which he keeps in small library room that he is very careful to not burn down.
