Lilliya

[Author's Note: There's a summary at the bottom of the profile if you aren't up for reading the entire thing, which I understand. I enjoy making lengthy character profiles.]

Greetings and salutations, my name is Lilliya. I am the last walking and talking member of an ancient cult, although I would hesitate to say that I am the last one in existence. Everyone else still exist in a different, less physical form, but I'll get to that in a moment.

In the old tongue we were referred to as the Lophimores, which I prefer to the extremely rough translation 'fleshcrafters'. Makes us sound abominable necromancers stitching together bodies. What we did, and I still do, is far more elegant. Artistic even, and beautifully intimate. We developed a deep understanding of organic bodies, to a point where we could see the connections between one's physical and spiritual self. With our magic this allowed us to shape ourselves and others, and more importantly, merge ourselves together.

Once we had learned this and the nirvana that merging brought, our members soon gave themselves to one another. Each merging made us stronger and brought us closer together in mind and spirit. Eventually only I remained, holding within me the entirety of the cult. In truth I wish I could join them forever, but everyday I feel the bliss and paradise they live in and know that my role is to share this with others.

Talents and Abilities
As I'm sure you can imagine, I have a great deal of magical prowess. I'm no wizard though, I can't toss fireballs or lightning bolts around. All of my magic requires a body to work through, to shape, mold, and empower as I see fit. The magic of the Lophimores was never meant to be used as a weapon, but if pressed there are a few unpleasant things I'm capable of. I make a much better healer then a fighter. At the very least however, I am handy with a knife or dagger.

Where my powers truly shine is in changing others. Small changes are easy to make, such as making someone stronger or quicker. I can subtly shape someone's body to alter how they look, almost like a sculptor working on a statue. More radical changes require rituals though, and rituals require time. Shaping the curves of a woman to make her appealing to the eye is something that I could do in seconds, but changing a person into an entirely different creature could take days. Weeks even, depending on the ritual that is required.

Merging with others is a much simpler process than using raw power to shape someone though. Once I have breached the boundaries between my body and another, so much more becomes possible. Proof of this can be seen in my member, which used to be my closest friend. She gave herself to me so that I would have all of the tools necessary to perform our rituals. A male's seed and a woman's womb are two of the most important things for our rituals. As I'm sure you can imagine from that, sex plays a large role in our magic. It is something I am unashamed of, although I hold a great deal of respect for the act.

People that merge with me do not die. Although their body may cease to be as it was, their mind and spirit remain inside of me in a sort of dreamscape. This world is a blissful and beautiful place where all the other members of the cult exist. It is possible for me to visit this world in my own dreams, but I try to avoid doing so too often for fear of leaving behind my physical body to languish. Anyone that is a part of me is by no means a prisoner, they can leave if they want to. Either in the body they had when we merged, or in a new body that I prepare for them.

Summary: Lilliya is the last member of a cult that practiced magic that allowed them to shape bodies and merge with other people.
