Poor Cassidy. You could never hope to meet a sweeter, nicer little critter. He never wanted to hurt anyone.

Then again, he was never given a choice.

For as long as he can remember, he's been afflicted with a horrible curse. It does him no direct harm, but is no less cruel for that - as sweet and nice as he is, or wishes to be, the simple fact is that the merest touch of any part of his body, even an accidental brush of a whisker or misplaced flick of the tail, will bring death to any living creature. And not even a particularly swift or painless one - a flash of light, a pop, and they are simply gone.
That is, apart from the squirming bulge in the belly of the hapless little creature, who now has to come to terms with the fact that yet again he's got someone's death on his hands.

Recently, he has taken to hanging around with the few creatures he's discovered who are capable of surviving physical contact with him - whether by being able to withstand his stomach long enough for the curse to wear off and blink them outside again, as it normally does with the skeleton or other indigestible parts, or simply by wearing a hazmat suit at all times.
Just, whatever you do, don't take his hamster ball away from him. He's likely to be upset.
