A terrible creature who is known to a few as the Ebony God, or the Great Nightmarish One, Erebus' origins are stated to date back to a time when there was nothing. A universe in which all was apart of the boundless dark void known as Amatsu-Mikaboshi. Sometime after the creation of the universe and the void was pushed beneath the universe's creation, Erebus budded off from the void as an independent entity and roamed the cosmos soon after. Erebus' primal form was cosmic and hideous of the grandest of scales, the mass of eldritch madness devouring all it could wrap it's many mouths upon as it drifted through the cosmos with no goal or motivation save for spreading terror and fear. It is unknown as to what caused Erebus to convert to a more compact and human-esque form but, as of the present, the horror has adapted an approachable form but, her mannerisms and thought processes are still very much incomprehensible. Erebus is largely a mischievous being with a morbid sense of humor but, can easily appear as violent, coarse and outright cruel to those around her with little or no meaning as to why. It has little value or interest in humanity as a whole, and merely see them a food source or a test subject. For this reason, humans are generally not advised to approach it. Having no real gender, Erebus normally appears as an androgynous individual but, can easily switch genders on a mere whim. Erebus is a roving glutton, and loves to eat. That said, giving her food is usually a good way to get her to listen to you (or at least pretend to). Erebus is rumored to have more than one stomach.
The powers this horror have at it's command fall under the Manipulation of the Eldritch or Lovecraftian. Madness inducement, tentacles, spawning of creatures with such a foul and disgusting appearance that merely gazing upon them causes ones face to melt? That is all what it can control and then some.
Since Erebus has no one set gender...
