Lyria was born into the Abaddon Family, known for their family's tendency to join into a Marine force throughout history, continuing on into their current space age. Lyria herself was not interested in following the family tradition, abhorring working for a government and potentially forced to do actions for someone elses benefit. She decided herself that she would following a more scientific pursuit much to the objection of her family.
Through a period of time, she went through college, and scored well enough to continue pursuing this career choice. Finding working with chemistry the most interesting to her interests. But took up a bit of engineering alongside it to try to construct some things for herself or to aid in her work. Once fully completed with her course she moved onto some real work experience for a few years. Working in a medical office for a space station for a number of years and getting practical experience applying her skills. She quit that job after four years for "getting away from the clinically drunk" and since then applied her earnings to purchasing a small space ship, and has gone into the career of a independent chemist who takes up contract work to pay for her bills.
She currently works with Logarithmic on her ship.
