Madalynn

Madalynn (usually just Maddy) is a mouse. She’s mostly white, though she has a number of pale tan patches scattered across her fur, including one that covers her left ear and eye and wraps back around to run down the opposite side of her neck. Her eyes are a deep, onyx black. Depending on setting, she’s either just shy of five feet in height or just over five inches. She’s a shy little thing who does not handle confrontation well and is often seen either clutching her bare tail or having it wrapped down around one of her legs. While she has the figure for it, Maddy lacks the confidence to dare be seen in a “little black dress” or a proper business suit, defaulting to a conservative blouse and calf-length skirt.

Maddy can be played as either a college student earning a general business degree while trying to figure out what she wants to specialize in, or as a receptionist in a saturated job market and hoping to impress higher-ups enough to be noticed. Either way, she knows she’s not doing all that good a job of it. What she really wanted to be was a doctor, but horror stories of mice in the ER after not entirely successful escapes from cats deterred her. It didn’t help that her first biology class dissection ended with her nearly passing out and having to scamper for her life when the monitor at the next table over took notice, resulting in a hasty change of major. Unfortunately, she never really had a head for numbers, is too meek to be effective in leadership roles, and is far too compassionate for the ruthlessness demanded by the corporate world — and she knows it. Her saving grace is that, if asked for an opinion, her social awkwardness tends her toward levels of blunt honesty that even the most obtuse superiors genuinely reconsider bad ideas instead of simply barging ahead with them.
