Malakai

Every reason not to go into the woods after dark. Every case of extraterrestrials or UMAs. Every suspicious occurrence that seems like it has no place in a rational universe. Throw in shadow people for good measure. This phosphorescent beast is at least a few of them.

It starts simple enough. People out way past the borders of civilization feel an eerie chill at night, an odd sense that something is prowling in the woods. A big cat, maybe, or a vagrant. Someone's sure they saw flashlights or swamp gas. What the hell is that thing, anyway? Eventually someone gets brave enough to venture out under the moonlight, and they'd better hope they don't come across this fell beast.

Actually, fell might not be an accurate descriptor. Dapper, maybe? Or charming. The few who claim to have actually encountered him tend to speak of his relaxed, welcoming nature and the interesting conversations they found themselves in. Curiously, none of them seem to remember the topic, or how they got home... or, really, much of the night. Actually, it seems like most suffer a rather far reaching form of amnesia... yet they remember the glowing wolf creature in a rather favorable light.

It's probably for the best.
