From depths of Nightmares, comes Mara Onei, cultist of the "Dream Devourer". Mara was once a normal human, but she managed to transcend mortality via tapping into the world of dreams, and becoming one with the Weave of Consciousness. And thus the Devourer gave her power. Power that a normal farmgirl could have only dreamed of before. A jar to hold dreams until They finally awaken again. All she has to do, is to gather dreams of people, and devour them to put them into the jar.
At first, the girl now known as Mara Onei was afraid. How could she hunt and devour people, even if its just their dream selves? But then the hunt got to her. She reveled in casting dark mists and hunting her prey until they were out of breath, taking their dreams for herself. And once that process was done, she could manifest in the real world, next to the sleeping person. To do as she pleased, at least to her mind.
Devouring a dream doesn't kill the person, it just usually gives wild emotions for a few days. Whether its sadness, anger, or her most common emotion given; Arousal. She has become the succubus of myths, and she revels in it. She is feared, but she also taints the minds of those she captures. When they have a moment of weakness, they will see her, and find safety in her bosom.
