Marcus_Mice

ASPECT

Marcus is a four inches tall anthro-mouse with grey fur covering his whole body but his hands, feet and the inside of his ears that are pink. He has a lighter shade of grey fur on his chest and belly. He has light blue eyes that are not common in a mouse, but that is a unique trait that might attract a curious predator or anyone else interested enough in looking at him for more than two seconds. He has a pretty long tail that is also covered in grey fur even if it is shorter than the one on the rest of his body. When standing on his back paws (resembling a biped) his tail usually stands too behind him and turns backwards assuming sort of an 'S' shape.

He usually wears nothing as his fur provides enough warmth for him during the more comfortable seasons. During winter or cold days in general he might appreciate a warm place where to stay. The only thing on him is his backpack.

BACKSTORY

Marcus was born in a colony, a big one. He was just one of the many mice in there, but rules and prohibitions never suited him. He spent the first part of his life underground as anyone else of his age. Little mice were not allowed to go to the surface or explore the outer world; actually very few were allowed to do that and they were scavengers. Not many mice wished to be scavengers because since their very first day of school they were told how cruel, dangerous, merciless was the outer world and its inhabitant to those like them. They were raised in fear of the unknown, predators and solitutde. Despite all this, Marcus' curiosity always pushed him to ask about everything outside the colony.
No one was surprised when he decided to become a scavenger. He also did a great work becoming the leader of his squad. His team was the first to leave and the last to come back, but they always found interesting things that could help the colony to survive. He was quite happy till one day, everything changed.
As usual he left the colony early that morning, together with his team. The little group of six mice ventured in the forest. Unfortunately they did not know that a new predator claimed the area during the day before and they walked straight into its coils. It was a huge snake girl that trapped all of them and brought four to her home. Two she ate upon sight. It was the first time Marcus met a snake. She was scary and cruel. The snake forced the remaining mice to rest on her serpentine body, moving them alongside it so that they could experience the full tour of their two friends she ate before. They heard their pleads, they heard their scream of pain while they where digested and when no more sounds came form her body she decided to have one more. She took one that tried to escape and injected him with her venom. Her fangs were bigger of the poor little mouse so she literally impaled him in the attempt to poison him. She than licked him off her fangs and slowly chewed him while she coiled around the other two, Marcus in her hand. He thought it was his turn because when she swallowed the remains she brought him up to her face and opened her mouth breathing on him the decaying scent of digesting mice, but he was never dropped inside. She held him there while she crushed the other two to death in her coils before tossing them inside and letting him see them slide into her throat. Now there was nothing to impede her to have him too, but just when he was being lowered inside, a lioness showed up. Apparently the snake had settled her home in the lionesses territory. He did not think twice to run away while the two predators started to fight. He run back to the colony, but there he discovered the terrible truth: the lionesses discovered the colony and devoured all of them. When poor Marcus came back home he found no one there. Sign of a futile battle could be seen, but the result was pretty obvious. They settled the colony so close to the lionesses territory because they thought that would keep predators away and that all worked until the snake showed up, attracting the lionesses attention and forcing them to come and check that part of their territory.
Since that day the poor little mouse started his adventure in Nexus. His experience with the snake forever impressed in his mind.
