Maribelle had something of a bad break in life, spending her early part of her life following her father around as he worked in different towns and cities as a freelance guard hired by a shipping company that hauled cargo by train or by ship. It paid well enough since he oversaw the whole teams organized to protect very expensive objects while they were in transit. Her mother was not around to care for her since she was not her father's wife and left him once she found out part of his pay was helping to take care of the daughter of another woman. Her mother eventually left him when she couldn't handle the constantly traveling, since his work kept him moving so she had a rough and tumble start of things. Education was mostly anyone her father could pay to tutor her for a short while.

Once she learned enough to read on her own she took to reading whatever she could get a hold of. Mostly outdated used books, though the books that would interested her the most were reading material related to maintenance guides and owners manuals for all sorts of machines and engines. She began identifying specific parts and learning where they went, how they were installed and why and how they would break down. She soon gained enough knowledge that she started learning how to assist mechanics and repair crews aboard many different types to vehicles and eventually apprenticed under one of them when she was old enough.

Her apprenticeship was a rough ordeal, one that kept her up for many sleepless nights when repair crews worked tirelessly to get vehicles and their myriad systems up and running before a deadline. While she loved her work, she couldn't stand the tedious hours she was putting in and broke ties with the shipping company and eventually lost contact with her father over the years. While she could earn enough to keep herself fed through odd jobs, she felt she wanted to break ground and go in a new direction. She began learning chemistry on the side, hoping to come up with some big breakthrough in the industrial sector. Her studies are making little in the way of progress since she had to balance working for a living and trying to find a way to make a new living.

While a very bright girl, with a hard work ethic while finding joy and value in learning, she hates getting caught up in a repetitive, routine way of life. She has her father's restless demeanor. She also happens to share her gregarious and outgoing attitude when it comes to women ( after having too many arrogant bosses, foremen and random co-workers attempting to exploit her, she grew distrustful of guys ), she plays as hard as she works in order to shake off the day to day pressures that life throws her way. She loves travel, and has often up and moved to an entirely different place and setup shop there when she's grown bored of her previous surroundings. While she may be social in casual encounters, she has a cynical outlook and finds it hard to trust others. Much of her idea of humor orbits around what she's learned so far in the pursuit of chemistry, mostly coming up with numerous oils, powders and substances to cause all sorts of pranks and scares. Her sleeping schedule is rarely consistent, so she'll often be found sleeping and waking up in unexpected places.
