SHORT BIO: Marie Cuttlefish was born and raised in Calamari Country and took an interest in singing at a young age. Alongside her cousin, Callie, they joined Inkopolis' first ever Youth Folk-Singing Contest and won a stunning victory. After both had moved to Inkopolis itself, and after Marie quit a dead-end job at Walleye Warehouse, the two formed the Squid Sisters pop idol duo, forever etching their names into the local populace's lips.

However, singing is not the only thing she does. When the curtain is pulled, she dons a disguise and becomes Agent 2 of the Squidbeak Splatoon, an undercover soldier group led by her grandfather with the objective of fighting threats to her home city. This group was responsible for both defeats of mad Octarian tyrant DJ Octavio and the rescue of multiple Zapfish, even if the public is completely unaware.

After a recent universe convergence, (aka Splatoon being added to Super Smash Bros.) she has gained access to a myriad of worlds to explore...but that also means just as many threats. And so, she keeps a watchful eye while also finding time to enjoy herself.
