"Mon cherie, the way of the world is superiority. Some are born to be strong and rule, and some are born to serve and bow. And some, oui... some are born to be preyed upon. I was always one of the rulers, and the fact that now I can prove myself as such is simply inevitable. I am a goddess upon the earth, and you... you are mine. C'est la destin."
Name: Marie Jacqueline Paiscone
Species: French Poodle
Age: 26
Place of origin: Paris, France
Occupation: PhD Student (French Literature and History), Sorceress
Marie Jacqueline Paiscone (pronounced Pays-conn) is a pedigree french poodle, a descendant of the old French aristocracy and a conisseur of high art, culture and the old ways. She is also one hundred and twenty nine feet tall, a dangerously gifted sorceress, and a narcissistic, arrogant psychopath. It's a rather fatal combination for almost everyone around her.
Born normal-sized, to a relatively poor family on the outskirts of Paris, the canine was from an early age a precocious and petulant child. She was clever, charming and very beautiful, but also selfish and greedy, and her parent's scolding only taught her to hide these qualities. Bored with other children and adults, none of whom seemed to understand her or how wonderful she was, Marie grew up obsessed with old books, where people who were amazing got recognition for their deeds. It was here which she learned of her descendancy from aristocracy, cementing her belief: she was better than everyone else.
She studied French Literature and History at University, and like everything else, graduated with perfect grades and a lot of gossip in her wake. But more importantly, Marie left with the first inklings of her plan, and a fragment of a book which she stole from the libraries of a private collector, having to pose as a prostitute to get close... that smarted with her pride, but it would be worth it. Embezzling and defrauding got her enough money to put together the pieces, with the result that at twenty five years of age, Marie Paiscone became the first person in two hundred years to perform magic.
Her first spell, cast in a faraway location away from prying eyes, gave her a kind of immortality: Marie would not age, and she would barely feel all but the most grievious of wounds. Her second heightened her senses tenfold, giving her a sense of smell able to track an individual person across a continent, and hearing keen enough to hear heartbeats from miles away, as well as a sense of taste beyond mortal comprehension. Buoyed by her success and her greed, the poodle made her third spell on nothing but a whim. She demanded that she be seen as the magnificent superior creature she was.
Maybe magic has a sense of humour. Regardless, Marie's third spell sealed her body into a titanic form, more than a hundred feet high, her size almost as large as her almighty ego. The sorceress felt her new power surge, and smiled a cruel smile which she had spent her life suppressing. Finally, the world awaited her.
Marie is a highly intelligent narcissist with psychopathic tendencies. She is every bit as selfish and greedy as she was before. Her magical abilities give her not inconsiderable power, including some telekinesis, shapeshifting and telepathy. She speaks fluent English, French, Italian and Latin, and is an expert on literature. She is fairly new to her powers, but very eager to enjoy herself with them. In all kinds of cruel and sadistic ways.
