Marielle Delacroix, often referred to as 'Witchling' by her class demeaningly. She has always been the most undeveloped and the shortest of her schools growing up, constant taunting driving Marielle to hide away in her magics, the pursuit of knowledge, to distance herself from her classmates and compensate for the diminutive stature. Oft found sequestered within the back of a library or in the least frequented places with her nose in a book. Her parents are well-off, but she never allowed herself to become spoiled from the availability of wealth or immediate power provided by her family bloodline, her worst offense having a hunger for expensive sweets and brands of tea.

The tiny witch suffers from Demophobia and is reserved in the presence of strangers, preferring to practice her spells and study in solitude. She has grown to always assumes ill intentions from others. Marielle is always on the pursuit for more knowledge of the world around her and magic, and can easily be tempted like a mouse to cheese by this. When at home, there is always at least one private tutor, maid or personal aide on hand, to keep her from sneaking out at later hours when the rest of her family is out on business.

Standing at a meager 4'10", this little woman wears what one would expect a witch to wear, a black, large-rimmed pointy hat with a white bow tied around it, a dress with a frilly skirt which ends at her knees, black stockings and small-heeled shoes. Marielle keeps her wooden wand tucked in her blouse for easy access, since some of her memorized spells have more practical uses, particularly the one to levitate as she sometimes has difficulty reaching objects placed up on high. She has amber eyes, long purple hair which drops just below her shoulders and a small birthmark on her right cheek, barely noticeable from a distance.

Her skin is pale from lack of sunshine and soft to the touch, it's very clear she's never had to do a day of manual labor in her life. Her arms, legs and belly perfectly smooth, lacking any kind of definition. Marielle can sometimes become extremely lazy depending on her mood and has a childish joy of riding on the backs of others to get about, due to her lightness and polite nature, she often gets them.

Marielle's aspirations are to be recognized by her witching peers and the magical society. To do so she wishes to acquire a position of great importance, such as an adviser on the supernatural for a person of nobility, if not that perhaps the assistant of a well-known or extremely talented magician.

To cast her spells successfully, Marielle requires a conduit of wood either in the shape of a wand or staff to hold in her hands. The longer she takes casting an incantation the more powerful it becomes, but as a result more of her mana reserves are spent in the process. If Marielle attempts to cast over her limit, she suffers from wracking pain and cramps as without mana to spend her spells will attempt to use her lifeforce instead to fuel themselves.
