Marna

Marna is an anglerfish mermaid living in the deep oceans of Amazonia_World. Her exact size is unknown. Some sightings say she is about 12 feet long, a little bit larger than a "human sized" mermaid, soe sightings have her at the size of a giant mermaid (My fancy way of saying she is available for same-size and macro/micro interactions). Either way, she is bad news for the poor soul who happens to encounter her while being smaller than her. She is a ferocious predator; those wicked teeth are not for show. Strangely enough, they are more for threatening prey and predators than for tearing prey to shreds like what was originally thought. She can certainly do that to some of her larger prey, but she would rather swallow them. She uses the light on her head as a lure to bring her prey closer to her. Her whole body can actually light up, and her body is transluscent as well, so her prey can see the outside world for the last time as they digest. One of her favorite games is confusing her prey by turning off her lights and leaving them in the dark, confused as to whether or not they were eaten until it is too late. Many of her tiny prey does not even get to see her until she swallows them up. There is no known way of avoiding her stomach once a prey has her attention.


This should go without saying, but as a deep-sea character, Marna is exclusively for scenes in which a prey can get underwater...meaning she normally eats smaller mermaids, but human and elven divers can work.
