Marrow Malloway,
The Witch of Wolfpine WoodsName : Marrow Malloway (Formally: Willow Wilkinson)
Age:? Natural Height : 5'11”
Hair : Black, long, stringy.
Eyes : Orange, with a circle surrounding the pupil within the iris.
Chest size : C
Personality:An apathetic witch who is as incredibly dangerous as she is skilled in the black arts. She's a bit of slob and doesn't care what
she says or does around others, no matter how disgusting and/or inappropriate. Sometimes she even does it just to torture others.
The only time she sheds her apathy is when her deranged personality comes boiling to the surface through psychotic glee or furious rage.
In this psyche, her more inhuman habits come to light such as her limbs twisting in ways they shouldn't and an unnaturally piercing stare.
If you see her jagged smile, it's too late.
Marrow is a textbook witch workaholic. Whether its brewing potions, studying/performing magic, cooking, or everything between, she has to be
doing something with her hands or else she gets bored. When she gets bored, she kills time making others suffer in her plethora of ways.
Marrow's also a glutton, taking pleasure in just about eating everything, especially pumpkin pies. While she can eat a lot, she settles on
simply on feeling content.
While some witches work well with one enough, even forming vast communities under the same covenant, The Witch of Wolfpine is not one of
them. Marrow can get very jealous or spiteful around other Witches, whether they're of her covenant or not, and she especially doesn't like
it when they tread in her domain. Then again, she doesn't like anything treading in her domain, adamantly standing by the fact that the
woods belongs to her. This makes her viciously territorial to all bu t a select few.
Finally, Marrow is deathly fearful of Sauerkraut. Just a whiff can make her sick and actually eating it makes her violent ill and crippled
for several days.
Appearance: Tall and slender as well as ample in breast and bottom, can change her height to appear even taller. She appears very tired from long nights of doing witchcraft every second of everyday, with dark circles under her eyes and a sullen expression that barely changes. Speaking of eyes, Marrow's irises is surrounded by a thin ring in the pupils, a seal of her witchcraft. Her long stringy hair flows without restraint, often times obscuring her face. When she smiles, Marrow reveals a set of razor sharp teeth capable of ripping into flesh if she ever chewed.
Usual attire : Her clothes, made by her own hand, is relatively simple in design. Her attire consists of pointed hat and a very simple, form-fitting robe made of orange with long sleeves and a skirt long enough to obscure her shoeless feet. Her outfit has a cackling Jack O'Lantern face cut into her Robes; its mouth revealing her stomach and eyes revealing the underside of her breasts. Her hat is orange with an brown band adorned with a Jack O'Lantern buckle. A long cloak of black normally obscures her brightly colored outfit .
Equipment: A wooden wand, a Pyromancy Lantern with flickering flame that never dies, Pouches of pumpkin seeds/bone ash/etc and various potions (as well as her wand) are stashed in her drooping sleeves.
Likes: Pumpkin Pie, Jack O'Lanterns, s tudying, b rewing , making monsters
Dislikes: Sauerkraut, intruders, other witches
Author Preference: Marrow is a mirror of Charlotte. While both are shut-ins that don't often leave their homes, Marrow is the predator to
Charlotte's prey who isn't shy to straight up devour someone whole and alive before digesting without an ounce of sympathy, just Apathy.
Men, women, children; it matters not. All will be devoured, cast to the pot/spit/oven to cook, or be transformed into some item of food
large or small. She isn't a good person.
Story:Who is Marrow and what's her story?A Witch who lives in the heart of Wolfpine woods, Marrow's lived long before the little town was established in 1912.
Marrow's life began as a child orphaned in the woods long, long ago by the Pilgrims that settled near the land. She was picked up by a
witch who, instead of throwing into a boiling cauldron , raised the girl as her own. Throughout the years, she taught her a myriad of
magical arts from the devilish to the heinous until her dying breath. Once her adoptive mother passed on, Marrow continued her studies
in the dark arts; learning to defy death and age among other things while steadily being spiteful and bitter. All of this eventually
lead to her body, cursed by numerous selling of souls and unholy brews, craving the flesh of the pure and innocent; prompting her to
roam the nights in search people to devour and doing so in a number of ways.
Now, in the year of the 2010's, she's still around and doing the same. Every ounce of her humanity is gone, replaced by the lust for
power and to feed the cravings that gnaw at her. Seeing through the eyes of stranger from a bygone era, she's curious over humanity's
'magic' powered iron horses and moving picture boxes, though she still sees the little town of Wolfpine as one big dinner plate or a
place to run her monsterous experiments.
Marrow Malloway is apart of the Devourer's Covenant, a group of witches who practice the art of ingesting their preys, digesting them,
and trading the souls of their meals for limitless power. While she doesn't look like it at first, several hundred souls have been
condemned to the Marrow's belly over the course of her three hundred years; which in turn made her an incredibly powerful witch by the
2010 years. Outside of being able to devour others, she can cast powerful magics, mostly from Earth and Fire schools; the former making
her strongly in touch with the Earth and wildlife. Marrow is constantly experimenting with magic, potions, cooking, and creating
abominations, coming up with all sorts of things along the way; some good and much more very, very bad. Though many don’t believe she
exist, she takes great joy in menacing the neighboring town and its denizens, her niece included.
What does the character do with her life? Marrow Malloway keeps to herself, only leaving the house to search for a meal whenever hunger rolls around.
At home, she focuses on harnessing the deepest darkness in her heart to form the most powerful dark magics; usually through forming
demonic pacts and the like. When she's not focusing her deepest, darkest desires into pure magical power she tends to her garden or
toils over brewing potions. One of her other hobbies includes cooking, often toiling over the stove with whatever recipe decides to
pop into her head; with outcomes being either good or very, very bad. Of course, she the other times she cooks for others is to stuff
them like turkeys before devouring them herself.
Then there’s monster making. Many legends of monsters living in the Wolfpine Woods were thanks to Marrow’s horrid experiments, taking
those she didn’t devour and twisting them into deranged beasts through her wretched potions and dark magics. Many are (fortunate for
the poor soul) short lived, perishing soon after she’s created and thrown them out; some going on to make stories that would be passed
down through the town history long before Wolfpine was established.
Anyone special in the character's life? There is only one person Marrow truly adores and that is her adoptive mother and mentor, Myrna Malloway . Since her passing, Marrow has
never been the same.
Outside of her mother, Marrow has two other step-sisters, Moira and Maescia Malloway ; both of whom are former apprentices of Myrna that
had moved on to their own devices long before Marrow came along. While Marrow despises them both, she reluctantly joins them in their
circle for particularly powerful incantations.
Marrow's only friends is the broom she rides. While not especially close, She's apart of the same bloodline as Charlotte Isley;
discovering this after devouring her once and she survived the whole trip. Apparently, blood can't digest blood. Now, she just kidnaps
Charlotte from time to time for one reason and another, usually toying around with her.
There’s a bit of a rocky relationship between Sybil and Marrow, both of them seeing their deals as a partnership more than friendship and
generally avoid one another. However, when bored, Sybil stops by to pester the witch and Marrow enjoys a game of chance with the demon if
it means she win power without price.
Anyone else is food, her food.
