Mary seems like a normal girl. She lives with her parents, works at the local bar, and has a few close friends from high school. That said, appearances are deceiving and Mary here has saved her city more than a few times. That's because she and her family are dedicated to keeping the world safe from the things that go bump in the night. It's not glamorous, but she knows that it's important.

Her job
Mary's job is officially called demon hunting, although she pretty much hunts anything supernatural that would kill an unsuspecting human. To do so she uses an arsenal of spells that we'll go over later. Her dress is made from a special silk that makes it like a steel suit of armor without the weight and her hat keeps her mind safe from mental attacks, which are common in her line of work. (She also thinks it's rather stylish.) Her magic does come at the cost of physical strength, so she has to be quick with dodging.

Mary has dedicated her life to her job. She's been doing this for three years now and has trained since she was fifteen years old. Even her cover job is used to help her real job. She takes in gossip for anything that could be a supernatural occurrence and reports them back to her parents. While she does have a social life, none of her friends have a clue about this. They just know she has an interest in mythology.

Her spells
Elements
Mary, like any mage worth their hat, has good control over fire, water, wind, and earth magic. They are energy based attacks that look like colored balls being sent at her target. Her control over this is great and she can make her attacks come back if need be.

Danmaku Fireball
She saw one of her friends playing Touhou once before and she got inspired. Mary summons hundreds of fireballs before sending them everywhere. Despite the volume of fire here this is a weak attack due to how spread out it is.

Frozen Javelin
Freezing the air around her, Mary makes a light and sharp Javelin that she can throw easily and pierce armor. This is her attack for taking down enemies that don't fall to magic.

Energy Transfer
Mary has been working on energy spells, and this is a result. She can fuel another person with her magical energy powering up their magic or physical strength, whichever is their way of dealing damage.

Aura Check
This is less of an attack and more of a utility spell. Basically this one she uses on the job to check anything by seeing the aura of a living being. She can check life status (undead creatures have no aura), demonic presence (both straight demons and possessed creatures), honesty, and where they have been.

Scenarios (open to approach with other scenes)
Standard Mission Gone Wrong
Nothing fancy with this one. You're a monster, Mary hunts you down, you win and do whatever to her. This works best with demons and things that look like monsters.

Caught in the Act
One of these days someone is bound to see Mary in action, and it will create a problem. She takes you back to her home and tells you everything about what she does. This works best with normal humans/demis/anthros.

Slice of Life
Just a little roleplay where Mary doesn't fight anything on screen. She does lead a normal looking life when not training or hunting. A relationship would be interesting.

Monster Investigation
Another slice of life style RP where Mary finds a new creature and keeps tabs on it to make sure it's not a threat. Other things may happen as they communicate.

OOC
I can play her in other settings, but modern is the one that works best with her.

Mary is not racist and will always give something that looks like a monster a chance. That said she is always suspicious of them until they prove that they are good.

Mary's spell list is not set in stone, so if you have an idea for a spell I might put it in. That said I'm not giving her anything super powerful.

Mary is polite and respectful, even to her enemies in word and deed. The only time you will see her angry is if you harm someone innocent, or if you make fun of her flat chest.

Mary has a will of iron and she will not break down and cry under most circumstances. She does have a limit to how much she can take however. One surefire way to break her is to torture someone else in front of her, or shove someone into her.

I'm fine with a normal human/demi/anthro swallowing Mary up, but note that you will have to knock her out and tie her up first. You can knock her out from behind, drug her, use tear gas, or if you can convince me your character can beat her in a fight you may do that.

The hat keeps things from going in not out. Mary can not be mind controlled or suffer psychic mind attacks, but her mind can be read.
