Lady Mashiro was the first wife of a wealthy and much older lord, during their near two-hundred years of marriage, he has amassed a vast array of other wives and various concubines. She's no longer a person of interest to her husband, but he also has no intention of letting her go and letting her do as she wishes. Because of this, the neglected lady seeks little more than small secret joys to conceal from her controlling and neglectful husband-- a servant here, a guard there... Maybe a few bottles of his finest wine, perhaps one of his other neglected and forgotten concubines. Anything to sate her, at least temporarily.

She knows quite a bit of magic-- from size-changing spells, to charms that will force her victims to bend to her will, to anti-ageing spells to keep herself looking young-- and uses it often to get what she wants.
