Fourth of his namesake and seventh of his line to serve in his Queen's Royal Army, there was no question when he was born that Matisse Lockhart IV would be a fine knight and an asset to the Kingdom. It was only a matter of years after enlisting that the handsome, young shark rose through the ranks and became Fleet Admiral. Known even among his peers as a bit of a prude, Matisse is a strait-laced knight with insurmountible loyalty to his queen and country. A bit haughty, a bit cocky, and obsessed with both the ideals of justice and beauty, he lands firmly in either camp of grating the nerves or earning the complete respect of those under his enlistment.
His natural charm and high rank have gotten him recognized as one of the most eligible bachelors in the entire Kingdom, and unfortunately, this has lead to more than a few incidents where "suitors" have cornered Matisse to molest him in a less-than-consensual manner [lewd image], either in the alleyways of the Kingdom or in the back rooms of their galas, fighting over his seed. It is for this reason that Matisse prefers to serve his home from far away; the amorous, near-amazonian shark women of the Kingdom give him no rest, and he'd much prefer to focus on his work. Even the female sailors, disregarding his constant beratement of their inappropriate behavior, will often grope him on-deck.. which is why he takes so much shore-leave, alone, to visit the landfolk. Thankfully, he is a very diligent worker, so his responsibilities are ne'er left unattended.
Matisse is a well-trained knight himself, and so, a master fencer. He takes it upon himself to tutor any young warrior with potential who asks, even those who aren't members of the Royal Army or sharks like him-- he's spread his knowledge to a handful of land dwellers, and takes great pride in his swordsmanship. His personal sword and an heirloom of the Lockhart family, the Leviathan, looks like a simple sword handle, but has the power to form a jet of water condensed into a blade with so much force behind it that it can cut through steel beams.
