A curiosity moving around towns and the landscape would show a mermaid seemingly floating in the air, seeming like she can swim in the middle of the air as if it was water. A curious gaze to her eyes as she writes in a journal scribbling who knows what. Coming above the surface of the ocean and rivers in the first place, the mermaid known as Migiri is a researcher from a undersea kingdom, supported by a wealthy merfolk on her current endavor of simply seeking out and researching the world above the waves. On the back of her belt a strange device, shaped like a ring with a humming crystal in the center supports her on this venture by allowing the user to swim through air as if it was water, a unique and hard to aquire device that only so many merfolk have access to. Given the nature of the most important material to allow flight in the first place only being found in floating islands, or on the very top of mountains, accessing it is a bit of a predicimant for any merfolk. That said, in addition to Migiri's venturing and recording the terrain she passes through, finding a source to allow either trading, or a source of acquring more of this material would be benefitial to her kind as a whole for the future.
Currently she is venturing with Otoro as the two continue to move through unfamilar lands.
