The birth of a SUPERHERO!!!!

Milly Rodgers was a rather unremarkable girl. She was a 12th grader in high school at age 17, a straight-A student who thought she was going to very soon achieve the goal she and her parents (mainly her parents) wanted for her so badly; to get into the most prestigious university in town... And she almost did! If it hadn't been for the events on the day of her final exam that took place on the way to school, she would have gone on being an entirely unremarkable girl on into a totally unremarkable future.
If it hadn't been for that massive semi inexplicably carrying secret chemicals being used in government experiments to create super soldiers! If only!
Her mother lost control of the car she was driving, swerving into oncoming traffic. The semi swerved to miss her and while a head-on collision was avoided, the truck's cargo whipped free and toppled over on the side of the road. Milly, unconscious in her mother's overturned vehicle, had no way of knowing that one of the barrels lost its lid. She had no way of knowing that it leaked out through the cracked passenger window... And made contact with her skin. The government agents also did not, or else Milly's story likely would have ended much sooner. Instead, they were allowed to leave the scene. Milly missed her exam, and was held back a year. But that was not the only difficulty the girl found herself experiencing... No, not in the slightest.
Within a week it became obvious to her. Little things were happening around her. While playing softball with her friends, she managed to hit a tossed ball so hard it cracked the bat and sent the ball into orbit never to be seen again. When opening her locker, she managed to rip off the door by accident... And did the same thing with the front door of her home. No one seemed to notice that boring little Milly was apparently developing super strength.
Milly wasn't so oblivious however; she knew this had something to do with her car accident days previous. She began to experiment with her powers as well in secret. The supercharged highschooler found she could jump massive gaps across buildings, keep a steady running stride with automobiles, and eventually she found herself able to fly. One night while doing incredibly easy homework, she found herself looking at the paper so furiously that she somehow managed to activate laser beams from her eyes and burn the page to cinders.
Eventually it was obvious enough what was happening to her; she had developed super powers.. And a multitude of them at that. The girl was always discovering new abilities. However, she knew that she had to keep them secret. Well, she did at home. But it wasn't long before she was exposed for what she was. A government agent investigating the crash and loss of the super serum that had given Milly her powers began to spy on her. Eventually gaining proof that she had been given super powers, the government moved in on the Rodgers household and tried to kidnap her. She knew for her and her family's sake she had to escape. The agents were no match for the super strong girl, and she fled her house, and the town as well.

PRESENT DAY...

Milly is now more or less a rogue element in the world, a powerhouse of a young girl on the loose. She has taken refuge in the Park area, because hey, there are lots of freaks to blend in with around here anyway.
Milly does not want to actively be any sort of superhero despite her powers. She feels no sense of duty to her country, she has no instructions from a galactic council of people with giant heads sworn not to interfere (but do anyway), etc. But make no mistake, if she sees people in trouble, she will save them and if you are bad, watch out, because all it takes is this pissed off nerd girl judging what you are doing to be wrong for her to decide to tear you a new one.
-Recently ran into Salvatore, they now share an apartment.
