Minori_Mayu

A young kitsune girl. Having recently celebrated her 18th birthday, she has put serious thought into her nature as a kitsune and role in the world. As a shrine maiden and member of the Minori_Shrine family, she knows her duties involve taking care of the shrine, but there are parts of even that which she is unsure of. Currently, she's interested in finding out more of the modern world, without leaving the deteriorating shrine building to collapse

She has a serious attitude which can come off as cold at times, but she is a sweet girl in general - sometimes too sweet to be a predator. Deep down, she's a lonely creature who only wans a friend. She tends to think matters through before taking action, but this can lead to not acting at all.

Mayu has the ability to sense emotions, and can use this to pinpoint the location of others and be ready for an enemy's attack. Furthermore, her ability to sense the souls of others is very keen, even among kitsunes...

She is a beginner in swordsmanship and magic, and knows some basic attacks. She usually relies on her speed and emotion sense to either get in and out before an opponent can act, or to escape with her illusions helping to conceal her. However, she has become intent on improving. Most recently, she has begun taking classes from Cobalt_Smith

She currently has 2 tails - and has no desire to rush the process of aquiring more. They will come when they come.

She has received an Invisibility cloak from Magical_Mindy.

Minori_Tsumiru has given her the sword Ryuichigo. While it's a good weapon, the fact that it's a genderbent, transformed alchemist originally named Edward Elric gives her pause. In theory Ryuichigo gives her powers of alchemy, but since Mayu knows nothing about alchemy...
Ultimately, the Ryuchigo was lost and sealed itself away to ensure it wouldn't fall into the wrong hands.
Dragon_Aurora has promised her a sword and taught her the Lightning-step. Mayu's version is still of limited range, but with practice, who knows what she could do...

Her powers of illusion have increased to the point that she can create artifacts which help conceal their holders. Their effectiveness should increase with time.

Thanks to the whim of Talisa_Mindy, there are 19 Minori_Mayu_clones running around. It's been decided that they'll stay with Icey_ until they figure out what to do with themselves.

After finding a dragonball and being present when they came together, Mayu wished for stronger reformation abilities.

Mayu has befriended Saphire_Basilisk, and is hoping to get to know each other better.
Mayu met Asami_Miyako while out and about one day, and they've started a relationship. Right now, they're officially girlfriends, but time will tell how much further they'll go...
After a visit to Lyra_Souleater's world, Mayu returned home having stolen a few shards of the goddess' magic, giving her two Anthro forms, and perhaps a bit more disguise magic in general.

*The Stall: Mayu has taken up selling stones and small good luck charms she has enchanted at a small stand one might come across in the forest. If someone wanted to talk with her, it's not like there's a line...
*A Visitor to the Shrine: Deep in the forest, a building still stands, in good enough shape to offer shelter for the night. The cute caretaker would be happy to allow that, provided one doesn't try to take advantage or trash the place. Who knows how she might react then?
*A Trip to Town: With no one left to tell her otherwise, Mayu might finally find time to visit civilization. It would be a good place to meet new people and find some of the answers she's been looking for.
*Applied Theology: Mayu has an interest in how souls and afterlives are supposed to work when soul predators like her don't get involved. Perhaps a divine creature from a different system could talk it over with her...

As a compromise, Lyra has control of the tail she resides in.She decided to release the other kitsune out of worry that she would become too powerful if she learned Lyra's variation of absorption. This might come back to haunt her...
