When Neptuna was a young mergirl, she was always hungry. She lived in a remote part of the open ocean where a hearty, filling meal was hard to come by. She got by eating a meager diet of kelp and scrawny crabs. One day she caught sight of a fat fish that looked too mouth-watering to allow to escape, so she chased it all the way to the ocean's surface. She'd never been up there before, and for a time she forgot all about food. She surveyed the beautiful views that surrounded her for so long that she did not recognize an oncoming storm until it was on top of her. By that time, she was unable to escape the rolling waves that gripped her, tossing her endlessly about. Eventually she stopped fighting and allowed herself to be carried far away from the waters she had called her home.

She awoke far away, in the tropical waters of the Caribbean. The warm water invigorated her and she eagerly explored her new surroundings. She soon caught sight of dry land for the very first time, and the hundreds of tailless-mermaidlike creatures that occupied it. She observed them at a distance for a time, quickly taking note that they were not very well-equipped for moving in the water. If she could catch one off-guard...

Soon enough, she did exactly that. And once she caught that poor girl and pulled her under the surface of the water, even she was surprised by how easily she managed to eat her. From that point on, Neptuna was changed. She quickly honed her skills catching the unsuspecting land-dwellers that came into the water. She saw it as her water now. She grew rapidly, and before long was a massive merwoman.

Today, Neptuna measures nearly 11' in length from head to tail, and tips the scales at nearly 570 lbs. She uses her size and strength to capsize boats, breaking holes in their hulls beneath the water's surface. She is not a fast swimmer, but her powerful tail will propel her far with minimal effort, allowing her to cover great distances without growing tired. She does not have a beautiful, seductive singing voice to lure in potential prey, but that doesn't stop her from trying.

But instead of getting to enjoy herself, she was dragged out into the open ocean by Neptuna who gobbled her down despite her stuffed gut and turned her into nothing more than merwoman pudge!
