If you can believe it, the mighty Samus Aran is... well, pregnant. How did this even happen? Honestly, not even she knows. One day the symptoms just hit her, and her stomach started swelling after a while. Eventually, her stomach grew to the point where her power suit just couldn't fit anymore...
But don't think that she's completely defenseless. She's still the same tough-as-nails bounty hunter she always was. Maybe even tougher, now that she's got something extra to protect. Plus some of those bounties can potentially satisfy her crazy cravings...
A side effect of her condition, Samus has gained a bit of a fondness for children, and becomes pretty overprotective when they're in trouble, to the point where she'll even swallow the young'uns whole to protect them from potential dangers.
...Well she can't wear her Zero Suit -all- the time.
