Under the Open Skies Act, the world has changed considerably. Foreign exiles and refugees walk the streets amongst the local populace, living in mixed-race apartment complexes, working 9-5 jobs like anyone else, even traveling on the bus and subway alongside others. It took a while, but regularity and routine have helped fold them into the world at large.
While they still have trouble accepting those of their own kind, within a few years, humanity has become surprisingly well-adjusted to having beings from all over the solar system settled into their world.
Tah Lee B'xtril, for example, has been on Earth for about two or three years, having made a comfortable home for herself in the college town of Everose. She is a licensed off-world being living on a secure intervisa that affords her the same rights and privileges any Earth-born human may have. Granted asylum from as-yet undisclosed persecution, she happens to be the only one of her race currently residing on Earth. While under the old regulations, this would make her worth isolating and studying; in the new world, she is simply just another off-worlder trying to make a living for herself.
Ms. B'xtril does her part in society by working as a teacher, specializing in 'Xeno Theory', courses that focus upon the adaptation of alien life to Earth and biological differences. History, biology, and even literature are covered through various courses designed to help both human and off-world students adjust to the new OSA-borne world. Due to being one of the few off-worlders with a teaching degree, she alternates classes between the high school and college level, doing double-duty between two local schools.
Most popular of her courses is 'Xenobiology' (aka X-Bio), a study of varied alien biological differences. Due to the varied number of species, the class tends to focus as a beginner's course, mixing studies in human and alien anatomy, with a specific focus on Miss B'xtril's own body for demonstrative purposes. Particularly her dietary habits.
It is not uncommon for an X-Bio class to reduce in students as time goes on. After all, Tah is carnivorous by nature, and her kind does tend to prefer live prey. She's not too uncommon in that regard; part of what attracted her to Earth was the open societal acceptance of predatory species, especially their own. 'Vore', as it is commonly called, is an accepted act, even protected by law in certain cases! So when Tah begins a course promising that only half the class will see the end of the semester, very few students are scared off by the promise of inevitability. Even then, some of the less-confident students are still likely to hang around, on the off-chance that they might be called on to aid in the teacher's notorious hands-on alien sexuality demonstrations.
Outside of the classroom, Ms. B'xtril is slightly more discreet with her dining habits. Her classes keep her rather well fed, after all, so there's little need to be a glutton. And she has her intervisa to consider, so displays of extreme gluttony are off the list as they may call a bit too much attention. Not that anyone minds if she snags one or two cute snacks while she's out.

While mostly humanoid in form, Tah has a couple physical differences worth noting.
Of current significance is her genetalia. Tah's 'penis' is more of a trunk-like sheath that can extend and stretch to accomodate its needs. It has a sizable ball sac, and a proper phallus that extends from within when properly aroused; both the phallus and the balls are fully retractable.
And of course, that 'sheath' works as a fully functioning mouth, as her students have come to know. Prey is deposited into the sac and digested for nutrients, or processed and dissolved into sexual fluids for mating purposes. Prey will be either evacuated through the phallus as semen, or will be spat out the sheath as a sticky pile of bones. In both cases, Tah gains a good deal of necessary nutrients from her digested prey.
The other important detail involves her antenna. They work as a relay for psychic suggestion, allowing her to send little subconscious suggestions into human minds. It's not a powerful mind-control ability; she won't be able to hypnotize anyone against their will. However, her kind uses it as a natural calming agent, a sort of psychic sedative that makes one feel a bit more relaxed, even a little tired. Enough of a push to a suggestive mind, and she might even make one nod off; though that does drain her own mental reserves quite a bit. Mostly, she just uses it to calm her more nervous meals.
