Mu-On'na are yokai born from the spirits of women who have lost people (mainly children and husbands) in brutal ways (war, famine, plague, murder, etc). They travel, searching for individuals who have lost their mothers, wives, and daughters and feed on their longing, often times absorbing their bodies in the process. Despite this, they care deeply about their prey and about all creatures hurt by loss and will even sacrifice themselves to protect them.

Onna is no different. Within her, she carries the sorrows and grief of many women. She has lived for hundreds of years, wandering from place to place, searching for people who have a longing that she can try to fill. Deep within, she is painfully lonely, knowing that she can never keep anyone around for long-- the urge to take them into her body is nigh impossible to resist. Though try as she might to harden her heart to those around her, she cares deeply despite all of that.

Trivia:
1. Like any other Nothing Woman, Onna's body is soft. She can change its firmness to resemble more like clay, or to feel more like bread dough. She also has minor shape-shifting abilities to make her form present a bit more like the motherly figure her prey craves, (meaning she can give herself some different physical characteristics like rabbit ears, ram horns, feline anatomy, etc sorts of changes, but her basic body shape and her colouring stays the same)

2. Onna got the scar on her face when protecting children from yokai more powerful than she. While Onna was initially looking to absorb them herself, she grew incredibly attached to them both and couldn't bear to do so and instead had been living with and raising them. The demons in question were looking to eat them and, unfortunately, she lacked the ability to protect them and both children ended up dying. She keeps the scar she received on her face as a constant reminder that she failed them.

3. Though she needs to feed to survive, she is forever guilty for her need to do so. She feels love for everything that her appetite draws her towards and often finds herself near starvation before she finally caves and feeds.
