Mukat is a young member of the nation Aran-Izra, one of five tribes of a species of cat-like beings called the Aran-Terkati. To be brief, the Aran-Izra resemble a short anthropomorphic version of the terrestrial domesticated cat. However, their ears are greatly elongated and are far more sensitive to sound than their Earth-bound counterparts, while their fur grows in extra thick along the center of their chest, on each cheek, and at the end of their long, slender tails.

The most distinguishing feature, however, is known to only a few aside from the Aran-Terkati themselves. Mukat, as well as the rest of hir species, lack gender-- that is to say, they're all hermaphroditic, possessing a fully functioning set of both the male and female sex organs. The Aran-Izra are very quixotic when it comes to their bodies. They have no qualms about being in the nude around a close personal friend or anyone they might be strongly attached to emotionally. However, many of them (Especially those as young as Mukat, who is merely fifteen years old by the Haku-Terkat lunar calender.) are extemely sensitive about being nude in public, going to great lengths to cover themselves when in the open. As such, shi's generally dressed in the manner pictured above- a loose shirt and pants. Shoes are optional, though, and yes, hir hair is that big. As are hir ears.

Mukat's youth also makes hir somewhat emotionally volitile, given to attaching strongly to another person in a very short time. Shi makes no real effort to hide hir feelings when they pop up, and is very easily led by the tail (so to speak) by someone who might cleverly abuse hir feelings for their own personal gain.

Over time, Mukat has come to appreciate hirself as a predator, and has accepted swallowing people alive as a fairly normal part of life here. Shi's still terrified of being eaten hirself, but shi delights in getting hir hands on any creature small enough to fit into hir mouth and down hir throat. Being detached from hir culture for an extended period of time has also made hir more open with hir body- shi loves to have creatures walking all over (and all inside, for that matter) hir body. It's a bit of a power trip for hir, in a fun and not overpowering way.
