Nack seems to have let his hat wander off on his own.
A mimic that currently looks a fair bit like a top hat. Scurrying around of 4 legs like some kind of insect, it constantly looks for a host or meal. If it sits on someone's head, it is quite capable of controlling them, sometimes making the fiercest of demons a lovely pet or the kindest of nekos a raging beast.
It is also quite capable of eating a creature many sizes larger that itself, making them disappear into the darkness of it's mouth. The things it eats are mostly unharmed though, since they can be pulled out later. How do you think magicians get all of those rabbits into their hats anyways?
