Every young girls dream is to be a magical girl isn't it? And even if it wasn't, what girl would pass up the opportunity to wear beautiful frilly dresses that compliment their personality perfectly? Oh and fight witches, monsters and other general assorted 'evil' in order to save the world. Every job has its downsides of course.
For young Narumi Ozawa, or 'Naru-chan' to her friends, her dream was quite specifically "to be the best magical girl ever!". Though this came on the trail of watching one too many super cheerful magical girl anime full of cute girls saving the world in the cutest manner possible. All very whimsical stuff. She never actually told her dream to anybody of course. A young teenage girl hitting puberty is stereotypically expected to dream of finding the perfect partner and raising a happy family. But I digress. The point is, Narumi had an impossible dream and knew full well. Certain dreams however can come true, especially if one wishes hard enough...
As typical in the manner of magical girls, a cute fuzzy little puppy appeared to her one night and offered a simple contract. Naturally at first Narumi was quite startled when a puppy appeared on her bed and started talking and her instant reaction was to push it off her bed (accidentally, she still swears!). But when reality was confirmed and she realised this was not a dream, she eagerly accepted this contract and her magical powers were granted. Though at a cost she was not yet aware of at the time...
The terms of her contract were rather vague. "To use her new-found powers for the good of mankind" etc etc, rather typical magical girl rhetoric as she had seen so often in her anime. But of course reality is not at all like animated shows for entertainment, despite the alarming similarities sometimes. Danger was very much real, and poor Narumi was yet to find out that newly 'born' magical girls had an alarming turn over rate, especially when it came to fighting "The forces of darkness" and other threats to young magic wielding teenagers. Oh and the planet and so on and so forth.
So Narumi finds herself as a newly 'born' magical girl, her powers rough and untested yet with great potential should she manage to survive long enough to realize it. But in such an ever dangerous world which has only gotten much much more dangerous, Narumi could find herself meeting an abrupt end all too soon!
-OOC Stuff-
Just to note, Narumi is not necessary to play only as a magical girl. For flexibility's sake she can be played as her regular human self prior to signing her contract and gaining her powers. Technically she's just the same as her usual idealistic and rather naive magical girl self, but without any of her powers.
On the other hand she can also be played in regular scenes while keeping her magical girl powers a secret! Until such a time they may be needed, though it may not do her much good regardless.
