Niall

Note: This character is based off of the universe of Rockman DASH (Megaman Legends in the US), and is intended primarily for story RP in that universe. As such, this is yet another of Solan's non-vore characters.

Vitals:
Full Name: Niall O'Fearghail
Profession: Digger (A-class)
Age: 19
Hair: Blonde
Eyes: Brown
Body: Average height, slender. Wears loose clothing that hides his light muscle tone.
Born Neill O'Farrell, but prefers to spell his name in the original Gaelic.

Niall is a Digger, one of the many adventurers/archaeologists that roam the water-covered surface of their world, in search of unexplored ruins to delve into and, perhaps, claim the ultimate prize... an unclaimed Refractor, one of the ancient crystals that serve as the most powerful and effective sources of energy in the watery landscape. The ruins are remnants of older civilizations, and often overrun by the guardian robots known as Reaverbots... as well as other pitfalls. These ruins are so dangerous that Diggers are now tightly overseen, passage into any ruin only permitted to Diggers of the appropriate rank, lest the more inexperienced ones come to an unfortunate end far below the waves!
Niall's personality overall is reminiscent of the classic swashbuckling rogue. His greatest pleasure is adventure, pitting himself sometimes delibarately against dangerous odds and always somehow managing to come out on top. He's also friendly and diplomatic, a smooth talker (but always honest) who can get himself out of a lot of situations without ever needing to fire a shot... as long as Reaverbots aren't involved, of course. He's also quite a talented storyteller. After much study, he obtained the top-level A-class Digging license at age 17, an honor he strove after solely because A-class ruins are that much more dangerous and exciting. Backed by a wealthy patron, his family never really wants for either essentials or Digging technology... and somewhat as a result, he's grown up a bit haughty and tight-fisted. Put simply, he likes to spend his hard-won money on himself; though he can be persuaded sometimes to give, usually he keeps what he earns for himself, or at least his family.
In battle, Niall is a crack shot with a pistol. He carries two beautifully crafted, gold-leafed guns when he enters the ruins on a Digging expedition, each loaded with armor-piercing rounds to deal with all but the toughest Reaverbots. The weapons are also modified to accept a solar-charged energy pack for firing laser shots, but Niall possesses only two such clips and the capacity of each is low even when fully charged. He also has, as cliche and tradition dictate, a whip, capable of conducting an electric charge and disabling humans and robots alike. It also has a small gripping attachment on the end which can be engaged or disengaged at will, perfect for wrapping around either a lucky handhold or an enemy's limb. Niall tries not to rely too much on either, though, and keeps his body and mind both fit while exploring the darkness below. Not that this means he can take out a Reaverbot with his bare hands, of course, but he's more than capable of dodging about if given the chance!

Like any other Digger, Niall has the need to move about, and so his family possesses a top-of-the-line airship. Known as the Nuadha, Niall's family airship is somewhat of a cross between luxury shuttle and mobile home. Although primarily a flying machine for transporting Niall and his support team to various Dig sites, it is also outfitted with comfortable living quarters. The interior is luxurious to the point of being practically gilt-leafed, and the exterior is sleek, smooth-lined and long, fins and engines near the back serving to make it quite manueverable.
As befits its name, the Nuadha is not without armament either. Several concealed cannons along its sides serve as a potentially lethal deterrent to most attacking air pirates, and an electric blaster is mounted just beneath the prow, tastefully worked into the appearance of the ship.
Niall also has that most important of Digger companions, a spotter, someone who remains onboard the airship and maintains radio communication with the Digger while he's belowground, warning him of upcoming dangers as they scan the ruins ahead... when their systems will let them, of course. The Nuadha's are top-notch, but even they're no good if something interferes with the signal... Niall's spotter is in fact his own mother, Aine O'Farrell, herself once an accomplished Digger. Age has not dulled her quick wits, and her timely advice has saved Niall from danger in the ruins more often even than all the technology the O'Farrell family has to bear. When not watching over her son's latest expedition underground, she usually will be found in the kitchen. Kind and matronly, she is more generous than her son and often keeps his greed in check, or else helps Fiona to convince him to take on more charity-based missions.
Ah, Fiona... The O'Farrells don't get all this high-range technology for free, of course! Fiona is the last of the wealthy O'Concobar family, which has supported the O'Farrells for generations. She's getting on in years, but still wishes to use her vast fortune to support both science, to better the lives of humans, and art, to beautify it. Supporting Diggers who uncover the remnants of old civilizations allows her to accomplish both these aims. She is somewhat disapproving of Niall's gung-ho nature, but trusts that, under his mother's influence, he will grow into a responsible man. She also supported Aine during her days as a Digger, and is old friends with Niall's spotter, trusting the woman implicitly in nearly everything she does. She has a tendency to ask the family to take on more charitable missions at times, such as finding a smaller refractor for little to no pay for a struggling village... with Aine's help, she's usually successful in convincing Niall to participate, especially if the ruin's interesting...

Like this one! Most ruins aren't aboveground, but there's the odd few... looks like Niall lucked out getting into this old place...

Vital Stats:
Full Name: Aidan Cormick
Profession: Pirate (independent, captain)
Age: 19
Hair: Black
Eyes: Green
Body: Wiry and tall, he has little muscle definition and often wears fairly tight clothing that show off his skinny physique.

Not much is known of this currently small-time air pirate... but he has a definite connection to the O'Farrell family, and Niall in particular!
(Further details to be written later/hashed out in RP, but for now he's a rival to Niall and his team, and has a fairly large crew, as well as an airship that's certainly not going to be daunted by the Nuadha easily...)
