Nova stands about four and a half feet tall. Her body is a combination of red and white: White jaw, white neck, white chest and stomach, white forearms and hands, and white "socks" up to her knees. The rest of her fur is bright red, and her eyes are sky blue. She's actually quite embarrassed by her body; she's short and her bright colours make her stand out in a crowd. Nova will one day work as a chef, preparing food for a living.

Nova is also homeless. She lives out in the park, wherever she can manage, until someone gives her a loving home!

Nova suffers from amnesia. She can't remember a single day of her life before arriving in the park, yet she still knows her name and her species. If she tries to think too hard about her past, she also forgets the present, including people around her, and her own name. Mind totally blank. She freaks out when this happens, terrified out of her mind. She takes about an hour to return to normal unaided, but if someone close to her holds her close and comforts her, everything rushes back much, much faster, sometimes even as quickly as half a minute!

Nova, laying under her park bench, spotted Maria running by. She called out, asking for spare change or food, but Maria tripped and took a dive down the unsuspecting sergal's throat. Nova thought quickly to make the best of the situation, asking for three things. First, to have a place to live. Second, to eat a proper meal. And third, for a friend. In return, she would release Maria. Maria agreed and took her home. Is this the start of something nice...?

Timid: Nova takes a -2 penalty to all aggressive rolls and a -1 to all escape rolls when SuperNova is not active

Natural prey: On top of the -2 penalty from Timid, Nova takes a further -1 to all swallowing attacks

--SuperNova--

Still a passive ability, but activates at specific times.

Flame fingers: At 8 HP or lower, Nova may ignite her hands at any time, reducing the Timid penalty for aggressive punches to -1. If Timid is no longer active, she gains +1 to punches. Enemies grabbed by Nova while Flame fingers is active take 1 point of damage unless fire resistant. However, this also extinguishes Nova's hands until her prey has been released.

Fireball: At 6 HP or lower, Nova may form a fireball in her hands and shoot it at her enemy. She has a 3/4 chance of hitting at 10 feet, 2/4 chance of hitting at 30 feet, 1/4 chance of hitting at 50 feet, and 1/20 chance of hitting at any greater distance. She is guaranteed a hit at 5 feet or less. The fireball deals 2 damage. Creatures immune to fire take 1 damage anyway for the impact.

SuperNova: At 5 HP or lower, Nova's body changes from red to blue. Her eyes glow yellow. Timid no longer affects her, and all fire-based attacks deal +1 fire damage (no effect on flame-proof enemies). Supernova remains active for two turns if she can recover health back to above 5.

Flame Cloak: While SuperNova is active, Nova can coat herself in flames for one turn, feeling 1 damage (+1 more for SuperNova) to anyone trying to grab her. This power has a 3 turn cool-down and can't be used while inside someone.

Lucky Stars: While SuperNova is active, Nova can influence her next die roll. This bonus or penalty is applied on the next turn. Nova rolls 1d20 and the following results occur:

1) Critical bad luck: Subtract 5 from the next roll
2-4) Super bad luck: Subtract 3 from the next roll
5-7) Bad luck: Subtract 1 from the next roll
8-10) Average luck: No bonus
11-14) Good luck: Add 1 to the next roll
15-17) Super good luck: Add 2 to the next roll
18-19) Hyper good luck: Add 3 to the next roll
20) Divine luck: Add 3 to the next roll, may reroll if desired

Vampire Star: While Nova is on 4 HP or lower, she may absorb 1d3 HP from the sun if in direct sunlight, or 1 HP if she's not.

Gamma Ray Burst: At 3 HP or lower, Nova may deal 3 damage to all enemies within a 20-foot radius with an impressive blast of energy. It takes quite a bit out of her, taking 1 hit point and stunning her for the next turn.

HyperNova: If SuperNova has been active for 5 turns, Nova can blast her enemies for massive damage. Any creature, friend or foe, within 20 feet of Nova take 5 points of damage. If Nova had been eaten, the explosion forces her predator to spit her out. Nova is immediately reduced to 1 HP and stunned for the next 3-5 turns.
