Obata Pondicherry is the 27 year-old, 7'8" barista at the Shark Attack beachside cafe. Between careers and unsure of her path in life, she walked into the cafe one day and the owner practically hounded her until she accepted a job offer. She's a hit with customers, but customers and customer service in general aren't so much a hit with her. Moody and temperamental, Obata would just as soon place a problem customer in her guts as she would sic the manager on them.

In her spare time, she enjoys listening to music on headphones while combing the beach, writing, or going to concerts. Because she's easy to annoy and fairly large, her method for dealing with people she doesn't like is to gobble them up as soon as she thinks she can get away with it. On the other hand, some like-minded people can approach her and strike up a genuine friendship. In short, friends are safe, but strangers are just as likely to see her butt as she walks away from them as they are to add to it.
